The Secret Domes (unofficially nicknamed Edinburgh’s drinking pods, drinking bubbles or drinking domes) are an extension of “hidden” cocktail bar Cask, and are perched on the rooftop of Waverley Station.
Tucked behind the quirky cocktail bar, the Domes offer a chilled-out retreat from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh’s Princes Street. A haven for foodies, the Secret Domes are perfect for a luxurious lunch, celebratory dinner, or romantic date night.

And the views are undeniably stunning. The Secret Domes at Cask overlook iconic landmarks such as Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh Castle and the Edinburgh Old Town. (It’s particularly beautiful at sunset).
Inside the Domes, the décor is reminiscent of a cosy Scandi Cabin. The centre-piece is a large round table with space for friends to sit around comfortably (up to 12), and thanks to the stylish soft furnishings and warm lighting, the Domes still manage an intimate feel when it’s just two of you!
Each of Edinburgh’s Secret Domes also contains a speaker to connect up your own playlists and customise your vibe.
The Domes have proven quite popular among Edinburgh Foodies. That’s because the small plate menu, by independent kitchen Lichen, features mouth-watering and unique dishes made with seasonal local produce.
